Yes, I used Painter 9 for this one, and I love it. It has a really good 'artist's oils' brush which is lovely and smeary. I already use Painter 8, which I prefer to Photoshop, but unfortunately for me 9 is even better and I may have to upgrade!
Yes, the four seasons depicted as trees might have been done many times before, but yours is an eye-catcher. I think it's the simplicity and honesty of the piece. You're not trying to be too deep and meaningful and it works. I really like it. :o)
